Hands on hatching and help

A friend asked me to do a cake for her foster son's bday. Easiest cake I've ever done! Lol If I were to do it for myself, I would have made realistic looking fondant rocks. Lol

Well you were right @AmyLynn2374.
It was shrink wrapped. Unfortunately it was already gone. I think what I was seeing move was fluid. That's why it looked so funny. Geez I wish I could have saved it.

I will have to stop over there then!! I'm doing good. I'm in love with these little calls. They totally have me wrapped around their little webs. I finally got rid of a pair today and I plan on keeping the remaining 5 (2 boys, 3 girls). Mavis is doing great besides thinking I'm her mate. How's all your babies doing?

Congrats on the hatch!! Sorry you lost a couple. It's probably better that this one was already gone. I've tried to save a couple at that point and it's extremely hard to make an internal pip for them successfully. I give you lots of props for being willing to try!!

Thank you. I need to go through my mobile and timeline pics and make sure all the cakes on them are moved to the cake album. Everything is harder to do on the iPad. My son and his dog broke the screen to my laptop last week, so until I get enough $ to replace that I'm mostly using the pad.

I saw a little fluid. Not much. But the chick had been gone for awhile. I could tell by the lack of veining. I figure that's the only thing that explains the movement I saw.

I'm so happy with the 10 that hatched. I'm sad I lost 2 but the odds were really good. In the past I've lost so many more. I'm grateful for these little fuzzy butts lol. They are already thriving and so lively.

Is there extra fluid under the membrane? Are they in the proper position for hatching? Were they local or shipped? Did you have any hatchers and if so what day did they hatch at?

Extra fluid in 4 of 6 of the eggs, they were end up for the first 17 days and then on their side after that. Only one pipped, none hatched. Local eggs. I broke open all the eggs once I know they were dead and none of them had their head by the air hole except the one that pipped
