Hands on hatching and help

Not sure what to do with my only chick. It's foot is goofy. The claws turn under and it walks on its knuckles on one foot. Will he be ok as an only chick? I have not seen him eating either. Altough he sits in his food dish. I have other eggs in the bator. I tried to get my hens to take him in but they did not take to him. I thought I'd try again and see if I can get any of them to sit with him. Btw I have no idea if it's a boy or girl!

Curled toes can easily be helped. Just google curled toes in chicks. I usually share the chicken chick's page for that. Everything is harder on this darn iPad...lol. If you find a friend it's better they have another chick or two, but raising an only chick isn't impossible.
 
Know what I like best about chicken eggs? They are versatile! Heat 'em up in a pan and they come out edible. (well, maybe except for my deviled eggs) Heat 'em up under a broody or incubator and they come out adorable. Adorable or edible....how versatile is that?




Edited to add: Just thought I'd throw that little bit of wisdom out there and wake folks up a little!

Lol yes they are....and what's wrong with your deviled eggs? I don't let my sister make deviled eggs for functions because she always messes them up. I do the deviled eggs.

Stretch the claw out with you thumb and tape the bottom and then the top. Once it's out for a few days it should stick like that. :)
