Looks like it pipped low, but the hole looks good. And if it's still working it, I'd give it a little more time. Keep talking to him, and watch for the membrane to start looking dry, brown. If you decide to help, just chip away some small pieces, and watch for bleeding. Looks like its got plenty of breathing room though. Good luck!

Thank you!!! If the membrane starts looking brown, dry does that mean I need to raise humidity or it's been too long and I need to assist?

Sorry it's as good a pic as I can get through the incubator window :/ they always seem a bit foggy in the photos. It's really wiggling and trying I just saw another little tiny piece of shell come off. I don't see a beak...just feathers.

Personally if it were me and the chick didn't progress to zipping, just making the hole bigger being pipped that low, I would start doing a zip line for it as long as the veining wasn't prominent and the reason is, with it being that low, it could be malpositioned in a way it can't turn to zip and can only make the hole bigger. But I am prone to helping if there's no veining.

Brown will mean its drying out and the chick isn't moving around enough to keep it moist.

Which side of the hole is it currently working? As Amy mentioned, it may be malpositioned, upside down, so assisting may be necessary.

Brown membrane is a sign it is drying out. Even with high humidity if a bigger area of membrane is exposed for any length of time it can dry out. If you choose to give it more time before helping, I would consider putting a very light coat of either neosporin (non pain relief) or a little petroleum jelly on the membrane to keep it moist.
