My Ameracauna jumps on my back everytime I clean the coop. LolWow, that's funny!
Pets really make life better. I can't get up for coffee without one of my dogs following me.

If you still have the egg, keep it in the bator and get your temp and humidity stable, then candle again in a few day'sOh, well. Maybe I gave up too soon. See my thread, What do I do now? I think one aspect where I messed up is the temperature being too high and low humidity.
Ok SO my 1st hatch babies are now (chicks) 3 weeks and (ducklings) 2 weeks. Everyone is doing great. We lost 2 ducklings right out of the gate (sprafle leg and last helped hatched)but the rest (even the one with the yolk) are huge eating messy monsters!!
My son is loving the chicks and gives them perch time each night lol

I started off with 18 at day 7 we had 4 non fertile and 2 bloodrings. Day 14, 5 more bloodrings or are they called quitters?? Now at day 17, 1 more looks like a non fertile egg with a bloodring???? At day 17??
Tomorrow is lockdown so def excited!!!!
That's great! Good luck with the next ones.
So, I've decided to try my hand at a staggered hatch. Because of the interest in chicks and the lack of eggs thanks to broody hen's, I'm taking what I collected this week and tomorrow and setting them tomorrow after noon. I've got 9 right now. Hopefully a couple more tomorrow. They will be exactly a week apart. So here's to a new experience! Plan is to continue collecting the next two weeks and those will go in when the first batch hatches. Hopefully that will fill all orders if everyone follows through, if I end up with extras that works great because I wanted to add to my flock for next year layers.
You've helped enough people do it, might as well do it yourself!
Good luck!
