Hands on hatching and help

Well, I thought I would have hatching yesterday, but my count was off a day.  Today is day 21.  I have 2 pipped Polish and 3 pipped Golden Cuckoo Marans.  One pipped at the wrong end and I'm trying to help it, but get so far and see blood, so I wait 4 hours and try again.  It is still doing ok.  I was checking my other incubator with Welsh Harlequin Duck eggs that are on Day 25 and noticed one of my Bourbon Red Turkey Eggs rocking!!  Turkeys aren't due for another 13 days.

Have you ever hatched polish before? I did once, and will never forget how cool they were to candle and to watch zip. Almost transparent shells candled so beautifully! And Big wide zips, I could actually watch those chicks turning inside the shell while they were zipping. It was neat as crap. Good luck with your hatch!

Nope, I'm a virgin polish hatcher!

They have been so awesome to candle. I have been able to see movement and fantastic veining. I see internal pips on 3 others. It is the same way with my Sebastapol Goose Egg. The egg is so large and shell transparent I can see everything. I candle it every night when I take it out to cool for 10 minutes and mist it. My Welsh Harlequin Duck eggs have been the same way. It has been a great experience for me.

let it do it itself if it will. If it pips it may have trouble zipping because of the broken shell and you may need to assist it . But give it a chance first.

Hello the egg is still shaking. I put it on my ear to listen to the egg and hear some sounds in the egg like the duckling peck on the shell, what's that sound? Sometime i hear it sometime not. Sorry 1st time incubate egg...
Today is it 27th day and 2 days since it moving idk when it will hatch :(?

I'm no expert, and I have assisted a hatch before guided by the good folks here, but from where I sit that egg would have a better shot if you just left it alone for awhile instead of constantly lifting it, letting it cool while you listen to it. And I'm still not sure why you have straw in your incubator.

I've got 4 hatched, 4 more working. I have one that has been working over 24 hours (crested polish). It hasn't made much progress and the membrane is what I think is starting to look like shrink wrapping. I put a moist paper towel around it. Is this the point I should be assisting to help it out?

UPDATE: 1 polish died trying to get out. Still have the other one wrapped in moist paper towel. I started to assist, but saw blood on the membrane so put membrane back in place and just let it keep working.
