Usually I can with most of my eggs. The greens are more iffy, but with brand new batteries I could actually see in all 13! Nice little red spiders on the yolk!Day 3 and you can see stuff in them? Whoa.....i need new eyes!
I actually have a silkie/nn cross (Gen1 SG) from my pullet hatch, so yes, I will be breeding her back to one of the silkie roos once they are old enough.Can't wait!Interesting the way they work out. I've decided I'll have to do my comet eggs separate from any others for the same reasoning. Thicker shells, bigger eggs. They just didn't lose enough moisture.
So are you going to try to breed one of these new silkie boys with an NN girl? Is that how you get SGs??
