Day 3 and you can see stuff in them? Whoa.....i need new eyes!

Usually I can with most of my eggs. The greens are more iffy, but with brand new batteries I could actually see in all 13! Nice little red spiders on the yolk!

Interesting the way they work out. I've decided I'll have to do my comet eggs separate from any others for the same reasoning. Thicker shells, bigger eggs. They just didn't lose enough moisture.

So are you going to try to breed one of these new silkie boys with an NN girl? Is that how you get SGs??

I actually have a silkie/nn cross (Gen1 SG) from my pullet hatch, so yes, I will be breeding her back to one of the silkie roos once they are old enough.Can't wait!

Hopefully. I'd like to get out of this place and finding someone that will rent and let me have chickens isn't going to be easy. But I'm hoping I will get lucky. I'd be okay downsizing, but I would want to keep at least my silkies and about 10 of the others....lol

Someone once suggested that instead of saying you had chickens, just say you have "African Ground Parrots"! Wish I knew who said it to give proper credit though.

Well this outta be interesting, looks like 2 more hens another barred rock and a buff orpington going broody, both have been on empty nests all day screaming and neck feathers making em look like raptors from Jurassic park lol.

Have a new little incubator for 7 eggs, but didn't pay attention so gotta look up what F is as this one is in celsius lol

The NN is a Naked Neck but I'm not sure what a Sg is, @Choco Maran
