Hands on hatching and help

700

Oh how exciting. It's almost there!!!

Ok I pulled it out and immediately replaced it with a warm damp paper towel. The humidity didn't even drop and the temp is good. The poor little chick still hadn't dried. My humidity is just to high. I made a separate box in the brooder so the others who are about 3 days old can't bother it while it recoups. It hears the others and wants out though lol.

Update- the one I pulled out is dry and happy in the brooder. 2 more have hatched, 2 more have externally pipped and look close to zipping and 2 more after that are wiggling with no holes.. :) doing good so far.. :)

Awesome! What breeds are the ones that already hatched?

Congrats to all with new babies hatching!!

I'm still in waiting mode lol. Bator #1 eggs are due to hatch next Thursday (Combination of shipped and my own birds' eggs).
Just got bator #2 fired up today so I just set another group of my Calico/Mille Fleur bantam Cochins and the Ayam Cemani eggs from cjwaldon I won last week. Looks like they had a rough trip. I've got 2 with rolling detached air cells and one wobbly/ loose. So those are sitting upright in the bator and I'll hope for the best. The other 4 AC eggs look good.
