That's what I'd have done. How are they now?

They are doing much better. Once they warmed up they started moving around more. I brought mama in and put her in the pen with them. They seem very happy now. I'm hoping this means they will make it.

Update. I candles my eggs, day 7, today. They are EE and cuckoo maran, so are slightly harder to see. One I know is right on track, but all I could get a pic of were some veins

Next, is hard for me to tell if it is still alive, as the veining is clear, just doesn't seem as developed as the first. Although it was put in the incubator a day later, just seems like it wouldn't be as big of a difference, but maybe that's normal

This one is the maran, which I know some people don't even bother candling. So I'm not concerned about not seeing veins, in concerned about the red dot.

What do you guys think? Thank you

Okay this is ridiculous Now my autoturner on my Brinsea 20 Eco is not working properly. It gets to a certain point and then gets stuck completely and doesn't continue to turn. And that one was bought before they went to their three year warranty and quite honestly I don't know if there's a warranty on it. Plus I'm not going to replace it out of pocket because I hardly ever use it now since the 20 Eco is mostly just my hatcher.

So now I have no working autoturner and still no word from Brinsea on my replacement for my other one that I sent back, even though the package got to them on Saturday.

Edit: Yep I purchased it over two years ago and before the three year warranty was offered. I'm SOL.

Wow, sorry to hear that. Nothing is restricting its movement? Anything caught in a cog? Maybe a little squirt of oil/lubricant?? (I use hubby's mustache trimmer oil lol)

It's totally unrestricted, the motor just apparently can no longer take the weight of the incubator at a certain point in the turn. I know this because if you take the incubator off, it turns fine. Put it on, and then it gets stuck in the same place every time, sigh.

On the other one, what broke was the little plastic arm that connects the turner motor to the little mechanism that slides into the side of the incubator to make it turn, if that makes sense? The plastic arm snapped into two pieces (the incubator was empty when this happened so it's not like I overloaded it or something) and with the arm snapped of course it couldn't turn and in fact my incubator went pitching forwards and almost upside down on the cradle, it's a really good thing it WAS empty when it happened or any eggs that were in there would have been smashed.

If I'm bad at describing the piece that broke and you don't know what I mean, I'll take picture of it for you on my other turner if you'd like.

I know what piece you mean. Its what I suspected. Turk's broke too, on her Octagon 40. I've been thinking if either of mine ever break, I'd replace it with a piece of metal. Maybe one of the metal strips in a hanging folder that makes it hang on a frame, or something like that. I think it would be stout enough to turn it, but thin enough to fit in there. Drill a couple holes in the right spots and screw it on. I didn't see your posts about it until after you had returned it.

The really strange thing is it gets stuck at the apex of the turn, right before it should start pitching forward It's a puzzler to me too! But the dang thing works without the incubator on it and won't work when it is on, and I have no clue what's up with that.
