My hatch was 1 out of 11. 1 more had pipped and started to zip but died. The rest were dead in their shells. I definitely believe this to be from low temps. I'm pretty sure it will be the same issue with my 2 remaining turkey eggs. The incubator I'm using is one of those off brand all digital forced air. I don't think it is operating properly. It has reset itself a few times. My duck eggs are in a Harris Farms still air and look great. I also found out that since I'm at an elevation of 2000 ft I need a bit higher humidity level. Live and learn I guess, but the process really sucks. Hubby thinks we should get a brinsea ex or a cabinet. Just don't know if they are worth the investment.
Sorry for the dismal hatch, but it's a learning process.
If you are worried about the investment, I'd make a smaller investment into new thermometer and hygrometers, and test them for accuracy. Most of those units can do fine, but the meters are almost never right. Try again with better meters and you might be surprised!
