Hands on hatching and help

If still lively I'm sure all is fine. It can't hurt to help though as long as passed the 24 hour mark. Just be careful you done tear the membrane and watch for veining. If
you see bleeding at all staunch with cornstarch and leave it.

Ok, this is what I did. He chirped through it all but did not move. The membrane was white and dry in many places. I put Vaseline on it.

My eyes aren't the best bit was their any veining? I don't see any at all. If their are no veins you could probably finish the hatch. Or you can set it in the incubator for a few more hours to see if it will do it its self.

Since it's been 24 hours since pip, and you didn't get any blood while doing that zip, personally I'd just be pulling the top of the shell off. He's probably ready to come out and might be shrink wrapped in there. It's the internal membrane you want to check and put vaseline on if it's looking dry, not the outer membrane attached to the shell.

Pull the whole top of the shell over the air cell off and check the internal membrane.

I'm guessing this is shrink wrapping. There is no blood but his face seems glued under his wing. Now I am worried about the other one too.

He pulled his feet out but his head is stuck. I have him wrapped in a wet paper towel back in the incubator and he is peeping like mad.
