The veiny one is definitely moving around in there! Any of them that make it are very tough boogers. I had two days that I left the house and they got up to 105 or above, both during the first week. And the one that is out is WAY louder and more active than the previous chicks I bought as day olds. He's trying to jump out of he brooder!

@akorte remember you are seeing shadow cast by the beak, so it probably is right at the pip, it just looks backwards when candled.

On a bigger device you can see real heavy strong veining. But it does not look like a day 18-21 egg.

How does the other side of the egg look? I'm thinking it got stuck to one side more than the other, and just isn't up against the shell, so we are seeing some clear area. Maybe.

That second one has pipped right and you pulled shell off? I can see where the shell is off.

It is really hard to take a picture, in the dark, holding the egg and the flashlight. But while I add trying, it pee

ped at me. A couple times.

Both pipped this morning (over 12 hrs ago), and I peeled some shell off both a little while ago.
