My son's Blue/Splash Ameraucanas are laying so we will be collecting those for the incubator soon. They are a fun breed. My husband doesn't like them. He says they look like owls and are "funny looking." You know what they say about opinions.

A dollar a dozen, too much inflation for dimes.

Repairs to one pen almost done but I pulled something around my left lower back/hip. I have help tho so it should be done by tomorrow or by Wednesday.

My EE looks like an eagle to me. I think Ameraucanas and EEs are beautiful.

The only complaint I have with them is they take longer to start laying than other breeds. Otherwise, I love the way they look and love their blue eggs. I may cross some over Leghorn to increase their egg production as layers, but with blue eggs. The hatcheries call that cross a Super Blue Egg Layer.

I’m wanting to add in some leg bars and EEs to the games and leghorns for the blue egg gene.

The owl/hawk look and blue eggs is why i like them!
