Hands on hatching and help

Normal for them to be wet right after hatching.
Humidity spikes big time after each chicks hatches,
but should come back down in a few hours.
Hard to know what the 'red cord' is.

This was more than wet. This was soaked cardboard and film on the shells, the last egg, and the thermometer. Definitely not normal. The red cord is bloody but not currently bleeding. I’ll try to get a picture.

I had, with difficulty but successfully, put her in a cup in the incubator for about an hour so it looks a little drier now then when I first found her. But now I cannot get her back in there and she won’t settle down for long in the incubator.

Boy, that's a big chunk 'o something!
Not sure what to tell ya.
It might dry up and abdomen will close, or not.
I'd be tempted to cull.

Hi guys I am hoping you might be able to help me. I have been hatching 12 Buff Orpington Duck Eggs and we are currently at Day 31 (2 days past due) everyone has hatched except 4. One of the 4 had pipped and done very little for over 48 hours so I have chipped back the air cell and could see some very faint veins in the inner membrane still so have left him be a bit longer. The other three had done very little, I could see no movement in the air cell and by all accounts seemed unviable. I decided to make some safety holes in the air sacks to double check and two have no movement what so ever and no internal pipping so I have removed them from the hatcher. The third had movement and breathing actions, however there was no internal pip. Should I be worried about making a safety hole if there is no internal pip ? Is there anything I should do differently than the normal assisted hatching process? This is my first time hatching ducklings

Hello.. can somebody please help me? I’m hatching 6 Kkaki Campbell/ pekin ducks and all have internally pipped over 24 hrs ago but one. Which I think is on the opposite side it’s supposed to. The top is like purple bruising and the air sack is like saddle like. They are on day 25. Almost 26 and it was moving tonight but it hasn’t moved for a little while that I could tell. I created a safety hole because I could tell if it internally pipped or not and didn’t want to take any chances. This is my first time and I’m so nervous about literarily everything. Can someone please help? I really would feel bad if this duckling died and I didn’t do anything to save it.

Can you post a picture of the bruising? It might be malpositioned and have tried to pip there, but failed. If that's the case, you may need to open the shell over the bruise.

If that were my egg, I'd be carefully opening the shell over that bruise, to see if it did try to pip there.
