Happy Hen Chicken Rescue!

Hi there,

I am wondering if you ever found out what Bumblebee the roo passed away from? And your other sick rooster(s)? I know said you had ILT in your flock, did you get testing done for that? It's a serious disease and easily spread...
I think what you are doing is great, I wish more people could rescue chickens (I wish I could!!) as they are very dear to my heart, but it does make me nervous that you might have a contagious disease in your flock and you are adopting birds out (and bringing them in)?

I have an infectious disease in my flock and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Please be careful!!

I don't think it was ILT. I had Bumblebee's body sent off to be necropsied on. Pip and Gandhi (the ones who were also sick) are all better now. They have been 100% better for a few weeks. They tested for almost all the respiratory diseases. Everything came back negative, and since they tested for most of the worst diseases (and some other diseases), I am not going to worry about it too much. But I will keep an eye out for sick birds.

2 boys just arrived at the rescue! The gray one's (if anyone knows his breed let me know) name is King George (The Third). The Leghorn's name is Foghorn (Leghorn).

Do you think King George could be a large fowl OEG?
Way wrong comb.
I love George III's name :D
I had a Foghorn who looked just like him :'(
