Happy Hen Chicken Rescue!

I just got home about an hour ago. I would have replied but I didn't bring a computer. Okay, so we ended up getting 10. 8 of the hens will become permanent residents at the rescue - the others will be going to a new home sometime this week. We already have someone who wants them. Anyways, the Isa Brown hens are so pretty! And very friendly. They were rescued from a filthy farm. They have lice, and we saw a red mite on one of them.

I also took the tour of Animal Place. It was so much fun! I will show you all the picture I took at animal place.
Pictures I Took At Animal Place

This is Mortimer a calf who was rescued. His mother sadly died.

This is one of the bulls at Animal Place

This is Animal Place's friendliest sheep

These are some of the chickens and turkeys at Animal Place. I must say the poultry barn is the best place at Animal Place!

These are the pigs! I got to rub the pigs bellies - it is so fun.

And the goats

They're lovely!

We have 5 Isa browns, and they are the characters of the flock.

Cool!

I'm rescuing a silkie tommrow. All of her flock mates are with her, although they don't eat nor drink. They are dead supposedly. She never had a cage clean or much food/water.
This is what I HEARD! Please don't tell me to sue or whatever! This man might take semi good care!

And yes, we did get approval to take the silkie.

She's a splash (I hope she is a splash, I want a splash!) will post pics later.

I think since there is no hen farms around, I will rescue from bad conditions or help people take care of their flock.

Tomorrow a lady is bringing her 2 roosters she can't keep over. One is a Leghorn, the other is grayish with some barred in certain areas. I don't know his breed, but if I can't tell when he gets here, I will ask on BYC (in the What Breed Or Gender is This section of the forum). I am excited to get them, I only agreed to take them since I have some empty coops at the moment. I am hoping to have a large pasture and barn built so I can have a rooster area - all should work as long as all the boys get along.
