Julie walked into the barn and saw a black horse, his head low, nearly between his knees.

Hope went to the kitchen.

Blackout whinnied, watching Julie leave through the holes, and back into the sale barn. But, she was to busy dreaming about being a race horse.

"And there she goes! Running down the track like a bullet!" The man screeched into his speaker. She raced with Julie on her back. She started to pass the other horses easily." And look at those moves people! Just look at them!" The man spoke into the speaker again, except louder, and more excited. Blackout was almost there. To the finish line. She jumped over it, just in time. She had won the race." AND LOOK AT THAT! BLACKOUT WON!" He yelled into the speaker. The crowd went wild, whistled, cheering her name, and throwing roses.

Blackout snapped out of it and came back to reality.

Hope looked in the fridge and cabinets.

Julie walked to the black stallion's stall. He looked up at her, but didn't move his head, just his eyes. They followed her every move suspiciously. Julie looked at the tag on the fence. "Jack" she muttered softly.

Appearance: Opal is quite pretty. Her chocolate brown hair is shoulder length and she has brown eyes. She usually has her hair up in a loose bun, but every once in a while, you'll catch her with her hair down.

Personality: Opal is a very outgoing woman who thinks very carefully about what she says. She isn't afraid to get her hands dirty. The only thing that terrifies her is spiders. If she see's one, she'll freak out. Otherwise, she's really smart and good at being a vet.
Family: She has three daughters. Marga, Melody, and Marie. She is divorced after her husband tried to steal her mother's will in hopes of adding himself to it.

History: Cowboy was started as a reining horse, but was decidedly not the competitive type. He was then sold to a therapeutic riding center. He didn't like the atmosphere there, so he was sold again to Opal who buys 'unwanted' or 'problem' horses. She has been working with Cowboy for a while now.
Personality: He's very stubborn. To get him to do something, you have to convince him that it is the best thing to do. Otherwise, he's a very loving horse, but he does get a bit nippy at times.
