It also freezes well. Kids love it with jam or Nutella on it. Also this is a German recipe so it is not as sweet as the American stuff. Forget Sara Lee cakes. You can also use it in a short cake with strawberry topping and vanilla ice cream. Just saw that I typed to cut it with one slid in the center while baking. I actually do two cuts. The picture shown is fresh out of my oven.
