Harbor Freight Tools???

I love Harbor Freight and have always found their items to be of very good quality. Just as other brands and stores have lesser quality items so does HF, but over all they are a very reputable store with good quality merchandise.

This got me wondering, so, I had to go look. ALL of my Craftsman tools have a big "U. S. A." stamped on them. Even the newer ones.

Harbor freight can be good, just make sure to use them with caution. As others have said, they won't carry the highest quality tools, but they will work for a short time (probably). For example, I bought a kit of drum sanders from them the other day. For $8, I got a comparable set to a $25 set from Rocklers... things like that, they are definitely worth it.

I have had good luck with there stuff and on the rare occasion that it broke, I simply returned it without a problem. As far as made in China what isnt. American made is 10 X the price.

Yep, and you should be happy to pay for American made products. Wake up and smell the coffee. That is exactly the attitude the Communist Chinese wants you to have.

I've been a tradesman for 35 years and I can tell you that the # 1 rule of tools "You Get What You Pay For" but having said that if I need a tool just once or rarely Harbor Freight tool are fine. I've always had good luck with Milwaukee, Dewalt and Makita for really good tools.

Bought a small pneumatic impact wrench there and it has worked fine. Well worth the $20.00 I paid. But on the other hand, I brought home an auto darkening welding helmet that didn't work properly (putting eyes at risk to save money!). All in all, I'll still buy stuff there but just be careful what you buy. They have a good return policy.
