That's How Addicts Cook Quail Eggs, But You Can't Eat Them Straight Out Of The Bator!

It Takes About 19 days+2 Months For A Real Treat.

For boiling quail eggs, I put them in tap water salted to increase osmotic pressure. So they don't explode.
Bring them to a boil, then remove from heat and let stand for 6 minuets. Quickly drain water and replace with cool tap water, and Ice. Crushed is best, but any ice that will cool them down is fine.

I don't know the official byc way to boil quail eggs, but that works for me.

10mins for a chicken egg. I'll leave my quail eggs that long even though they are probably done sooner and there's nothing wrong with them. It is still possible to make green yolks steaming if you get them hot enough but it takes more effort.

I boil the eggs in half vinegar and half water for 5-10 min depending on the size buttons coturnix or jumbos. The shell turns rubbery and peels of in one long piece instead of cracking off. I thought it made them much eaiser to peel and didn't change the taste much.

I use to get into trouble for blowing up eggs in the microwave when I was growning up.

I kept experiementing on how to hard boil an egg in the mircowave. I would try anything I read.

Anyways given up on that.

I just bring water, with a pinch of salt to the boil. Pop in the eggs for around 3 minutes and rince them under cold water. I always wait till they reach room temp before peeling otherwise you demolish the egg.

I dip mine in boiling water (using a spoon). Leave them for 5 minutes. I haven't had any problem peeling quail eggs, usually they peel real well.
