When I peal my hard boiled eggs, the white sticks to the shell, leaving me mostly with hardboiled yolk. I feed my chickens laying crumble and they also can free range.

Is it my cooking or is my chickens lacking something?

They just aren't old enough. There have been lots of good advice given for how to deal with that. I can't remember all of them, but if you do a search on hard boiled eggs, you'll find some of the posts. I tried the salt one, and it worked pretty good.

Yup-eggs are just to fresh!

I put salt in my water when boiling. After they are boiled, then I run cold water on them and put ice to cool them quickly and that seems to help alot.

THANK YOU!!! I can't stand this...I've been dying to know what I can do about it!!

Good to know that the eggs are just "too fresh", though.

Never knew that could be a bad thing!

I put my HBEs in the refrig over night in a covered pan with just a little bit of water in the bottom. I find that even fresh eggs peel easier.

Old eggs peel very easily...fresh ones don't. The eggs that you may purchase from the supermarket could well be 3-4 weeks old already.
