Please read this site below for what you need to do to contact USDA about your sick birds.
Anyone who buys sells and trades animals is liable for what sick animals they are spreading around and that is what the USDA takes care of.
Please spare someone else of this pain and heartache and stop these people.
Your lucky! most people not only lose the new chicks they bought but the entire flock they already had on their property. Some that were beloved pets for years.
These people most likely knew their chicks were sick and sold them to you this way anyway. If they did not know at the time, they should have told you to bring the entire flock back the 1st time ASAP, knowing they'd all be infected. I'm sure they have meds and know-how on how to treat them(if it is treatable), but noooo....leave you hanging with no answers and no meds to treat them. This was cruel to you and your poor birds. Now you have an infected coup and all your time driving and cleaning and worrying..... OMG Turn them in!
Also has lots and lots of good info that you need to read, specific to your situation. Another person that got sick chicks on Craig's list.

PS. I'd take them all back and clean spray and throw all bedding away and wait at least 1mo, Maybe until next Spring would be better.
It would be very sad to infect perfectly good new chicks and go through this all over again. Not worth the risk in my opinion. I guess it depends on what it is they had. You may never know.
