We use older eggs that have been in fridge for about 5 days or better. Add a tablespoon of vinegar to the boiling water. This is a secret please delete this response after reading!

agreed!!! That's why you're having problems peeling!!! Eggs have to be at least a week old to boil and peel properly.

Leave the eggs you intend to boil out at room temp for at least 24 hours, preferably a couple of days, then I put them in room temp water, bring to hardy boil, cover for 15 min, then cool rapidly. if done this way the shells peel off with ease. I have used eggs that were 2 days old that I never put in the fridge and this works great...

if you get the water boiling first then put your eggs in and boil for another 15 min. then take them out and put them in cold water for a few min. they will pill great fresh old or what ever kind of egg it will pill great
