Hard white poop stuck to vent

Sometimes getting poop stuck to the vent area can be that poop is not clearing the area below, but sometimes it may be excessive fluff or having some loose poops that cause messy feathers, and buildup. I would just pull it off if it is in clumps or balls. Take a pair of blunt scissors, and trim any other or excess fluff back there. If need be, and you can bring one in where it is warm enough, you could give a very shallow butt bath in a large bucket or dishpan. Then make aure that she is dried off well before going back outside. Towel and blow dry if necessary. The less you wet, the dryer they stay.
Thank you. It doesn't hurt to cut their feathers?

I gave mine a bath and the feathers are already fluffy again. I added an antiseptic just in case the runny poop was due to a bacterial issue.

I did notice a large mass below her vent when I bathed her and can’t tell if it’s fat or a bigger issue. She’s been lethargic and the most recent poops I’ve seen from her are green or all white. I added apple cider vinegar to the water but don’t know what else to do. I have 6 hens so it’s hard to tell if she is laying. She goes into the nest boxes so I’m assuming she is. Could the lethargy be due to molting? She is going through that now.

They don't appear to have runny poop. But I do believe they all have very fluffy butts. Which I love.. But 3 of my 10 have developed these messy behinds. It's dry and hard and I think I am going to try blunt scissors first and then water last. BUT, it's all below their vent. One lady said the big girls with the fluffy butts have the occasional poopy back ends. That I should cut the fluffy feathers straight down as when they poop it falls straight down. I am hopeful this will correct it. I also put AC Vinegar in their water for preventative purposes.
