Hardware Cloth help

I've never "stretched" it myself, don't think it is necessary. All I do is pull it tight by hand and staple it as I go along. Most of the things I make don't run perfectly true and neither does the hardware cloth itself. A little waviness hurts nothing IMO and the chickens don't care.

both of these can be cut with scissors lol

first one

second one
I purchased 3 rolls of the second one and I could never have cut it with scissors. I had to use wire cutters. And it is still holding up just fine on my run, securing all the openings in my coop and in the predator apron. I don't know what to tell you at this point other than perhaps the quality of things have dropped just that far in 6 years.

We’ve used the Think-Ahead Brand 1/4 inch 23 gauge 48”X 100 foot roll to cover our run. Got it from Amazon. We don’t stretch it, and it can be cut easily with tin snips unlike some of the 19 gauge we’ve used. It’s easy to work with but “bendable” so you wouldn’t want to make a coop out of it.
