Hardware Cloth SUCKS!

Well now I know what I will look like before the weekend is over, Just love long weekends get more scratches and gashes!!!!

Jenn,

That is exactly the type of chicken wire I purchased; 1" hexagon..... and a size 18 gauge. I don't know why people here keep writing that predators will tear open chicken wire. Or the best one is "chicken wire is meant to keep chickens in, not predators out".
NOTHING will be able to destroy this heavy-duty wire.

What's it called? Sounds like exactly what I need, but I can't find it on the Lowe's website.

If they advertised it on this site they would make a whole lotta money!

I do what TeaLady does. I unroll mine on the ground and walk on it. After I cut it, I'm then working with a panel, not a curled up mess. Being able to work with it as panels is part of why I like it so much. I also trim the edge when needed, so there are no wire stubs sticking out.

That works great on the sides. But I was overly-protective and did the ceiling of the run with hardware cloth too. Man, that was no fun. But at least I'm confident about it being secure.

As much as I can be, anyway.

oh, no fun! I was annoyed with mine at the time too, but it is so much better than chicken wire!!! ( you will be happy in the long run girl!) hang in there.
