Harris Farms Nurture Right 360 Incubator is AMAZING!

I use shelf liner in mine under the regular turner and it actually works better, it gives some cushion and the eggs roll smoother, especially quail eggs.

Is this custom turner designed so that you are supposed to assemble it yourself using provided clips and super glue?

Yes, I believe so. I remember checking it out on Etsy when the link was shared.

It is. It’s a good rack. I just don’t recommend it with the shelf liner during the incubation process. I was trying to save a step at lockdown by putting it in now.

Shipped eggs are going into lockdown! Blue/Black Silver Birchen Marans, Olive Eggers, Lavender Ameraucanas, and White Ameraucanas!
They were only propped upright in a carton for a few hours before I put them into the horizontal turners in the NR360s. A few of them had to hang out in the IncuView for overflow before I took out clears and quitters. Fingers crossed! :fl

Hey, your shelf liner doesn’t go right to the edge - how come? I’m just wondering if I should be trimming mine down.

I’m doing so many things different this hatch that if it all goes bad I won’t know what the issue(s) were. I decided to add 2 extra eggs in - so have 24 right now of regular sized eggs. The extra 2 are balanced across from each other on the space separating the inner and outer ring. I marked the top center of the eggs and they turned during the test turning. Not as much as the eggs in the slots did, but more than I expected. I plan on hand turning them a few times a day as I remember to. I expect to have at least a few non development eggs at day 5-7 and get at or under 22 eggs for the rest of the hatch. Since the extra are marked I’ll know if they quit.
Do you happen to have a picture of where you placed the extra eggs such that they turned somewhat with the turner?

You can see the extra eggs at the 1 and 8 locations. I found that the eggs have to be positioned so they straddle the place where the rings meet in my order to get any turning. If you place the eggs horizontally on top of the ring it just moves with the ring - no turning at all. The eggs fit into the space with the pointed end toward the center - just like the eggs in the slots.
I am definitely getting some turning. One of the eggs turns more than the other. I haven’t had a chance to look closely to guess why that is. When I do I’ll post on why that seems to be happening.

Ok. Fixed it as best I could. I moved 2 eggs to get smaller eggs in the slots under where the extra egg is. I see that the egg that turns more isn’t really touching the eggs under it - I guess that frees it up to turn more. The egg I fixed - which really is only slightly better positioned I think (we’ll see) is definitely partially resting on the eggs in the slots under it which I think is hindering the turning. But not resting as much as it was.
Does that make sense?
