Harris Farms Nurture Right 360 Incubator is AMAZING!

I didn't read all of the posts, so forgive me if this was answered previously;
What is the significance and purpose of a feeder in a incubator?
Do you need to feed before opening the lid?

I've never put a feeder inside the incubator and it's not necessary. Chicken chicks will be ok for up to 72 hours after hatching as they can survive off of the newly absorbed yolk. I normally remove them within 24 hours though.

Ok even after eggs were in it hung out around 100-100.5 set at 101. So I lowered it to 100.5. Hoping this keeps the ave around the 99.5 and not the 98.5-99 ave I was getting.. hopefully the new one doesn't swing a full degree ave when I adjust it .5.

But guess till new one comes and I can set it up and warm it up I will keep this one at 100.5 since you said the 98-99 ave is better than 100 ave temps

It is the night of the 11th day of incubation, so I decided to candle all 22 eggs. 3 were infertile/never developed. One has a fairly obvious bllod ring but I left it in. The rest seem to be growing nicely. Halfway there, 19/22 eggs still in the bator. I really like the built in candler on the NR360. Nifty feature. So far so good!

Great update!! :celebrate

Opened my clears last night. Look to have been unfertilized. Will candle again tonight for day 7?
