Harris Farms Nurture Right 360 Incubator is AMAZING!

Thank you! I remember reading multiple posts in this thread of folks hatching more than 22 eggs, just couldn't remember how they were stacking them
Yes I have done 28-30 in there. 30 is tight. Lol. And @Iluveggers has done it many times.

Before I started doing it that way I used an egg carton and cut out individual cups, cut a hole in the bottom so air could circulate. Then iluveggers tried the other way and it was much easier!!!

If the eggs are medium size or so, you can put them sorta pointy end down in those triangle locations between the inner and outer ring, you would rotate while keeping pointy end down, I liked to flip them from one side to the other, pointy end staying down. If they're larger, you can place them on their sides on those triangles. But you have to hand rotate those extra eggs and any that they touch or run into. I found anything they touched didn't want to turn well.

Hand turning was an absolute PITA. Do not recommend unless you must.

Thank ya'll! I don't want to, but I'd like this to be my last hatch for awhile, so I'm going to go ham, lol! As far as the hand turning goes, would one before work, then after, and before bed be enough?

Odd number of times a day is the recommendation. You can do 3x. I kept trying to do 7 or 9x. Hens turn something like 99x a day (or so I've read). I found myself always having to think about when and whether the eggs had been turned, and stressing about it overmuch. To much mental load for 12/20 roosters. Next time I'm letting the machine do it all!

But yeah, if you're committed it's totally doable. Wash your hands before and after.

@Auntiejessi3 i have some comments I’ll add in a bit, super busy right this second.

Anyone had a chick w shell stuck to it? It hatched before work today and still is sticky w shell on it:

I had one with the shell attached by the umbilical cord (of that's what it's called with chickens) and it fell off, but not like that. Can you take it out and get a closer look?
Out now, will do that when I get home. It’s stuck on its back and looks like there is sticky goop there, probably holding the shell on somehow.

Warm moist rag if it's bad enough, if it's kind of hanging you can cut off the bulk of it and let the rest finish drying and fall off on its own.
