No. First hatch here. So, I've decided to most definitely soft lockdown my hatch at day 16 (stop turning, don't add humidity until day 18). I think with the air cell issues the shipped eggs have been having, it might give the chicks the best chance to rotate the right way, and get to the air. I have WAY too many that are viable at day 18, but don't hatch. The last hatch, with the 14 Ameraucana would have had 12 total hatched, and the 11 Ayam Cemani would have had 5 more chicks total. That's a LOT of birds I'm losing between days 18 and 21.
Have any of you guys tried it? I'm certain it's a good idea from studies done...but I'm curious about real world results.

Do any of you have a strategy for lowering the humidity in the nurture right? Opening the vent all the way hasn’t done much, the ambient humidity has been pretty high here. My air cells are looking a little small for their age.
I did what EarlJ suggested. I kept some water in channel A, but only a measured amount at a time like 1 oz, I did not usually keep the channel over half full.Do any of you have a strategy for lowering the humidity in the nurture right? Yes, surface area sets level of humidity,Supposedly it's the surface area of the water that affects humidity, not the volume

Supposedly it's the surface area of the water that affects humidity, not the volume, but it made a difference for me.
Sometimes I did take the B plug out too.
