Harris Farms Nurture Right 360 Incubator is AMAZING!

Tried candling again just a minute ago. Didn’t see anything like that but it did look like the air sack is either smaller or moved a bit. And I could feel and hear the chick either kicking or trying to pip. Unfortunately I’m about to go to work so won’t be able to do much till tonight.

If the air cell is smaller that is a tell tale sign for a malpositioned chick. It's probably upsidedown with head facing the pointed end. If you're going to work there isn't a whole lot you can do. They can pip and hatch on their own when upside down so hopefully it will! :fl :fl :fl

That is cool, you can really see the little beak in the second photo! Last day for a chicken? Day 21? Can you see the duck's bill the same way? I have ducks in the NR360, due to hatch the Friday after Good Friday.

Yes! You sure can! This was a little goose I just hatched recently.

I hope so. I know part of raising animals is sometimes you lose one. But I’d like to prevent that if possible. If you were in my spot when would you step in and help it?

Was that in the NR360? That is great! I used to have geese years ago, but I do not have the room here.:( They were Embden, big white geese. Sooooo Good for an old time German Christmas dinner!

This was a Sebastopol I was hatching for a friend. I can't keep them on our current property but I would love to keep some for myself some day! This particular gosling was in my IncuView but I have hatched them in the NR360, you just have to hand turn them.

I already would have but I have a lot of experience in these things and already know what to look for. My number one gauge for whether I'm going to step in or not is based on the rest of the hatch and how it's going. So if all of the other chicks have hatched or are hatching and I see an egg that hasn't even pipped, I get suspicious. What you're describing with the air cell looking smaller is likely because the chick's backside is pressing into the air cell. You would normally see the air cell getting significantly larger and dipping down right before they internally pip. Like this.
