Okay cool, good, I didn’t want to mess that up. Thanks!Ooooh! Ok! I misunderstood! Day 1 is once the eggs have been in the incubator for 24 hours. So if you set the eggs on Monday at 8am, Tuesday at 8am starts Day 1.

Speaking of lights, could I be hurting the embryos with a 1200 lumen flashlight? I use it for as little time as I can but I worry about causing them discomfort or distress.
I use a high lumen flashlight as well and it hasn't caused any issues. They do tend to get hot so I cup my hand around the egg so that it isn't in direct contact with the egg.
Weeeeeee!!!First 2 egg pips!
Edit to add - make that 3 pips!
Im
Hoping to get 6-8 hatched out of my flock eggs. Very little hope for the barred rock eggs

I started with 28, pulled 9 unfertilized (verified), and now am down to 19 on day 10. I think all are developing except for one which I’m doubtful about. Is it easy to say it’s done? It just doesn’t have the obvious veining and embryo movement like the others seem to and I’m wondering if that’s a blood ring starting. I’d just rather take it out sooner rather than later if I’m going to do an eggtopsy...but I don’t want to make an unfortunate mistake.View attachment 2626024View attachment 2626046
