In winter yes. Harry is such a whimp when it comes to cold. It does not take a lot to set him off shivering! I have also clipped his neck and belly off so he does sweat when ridden. When the weather gets nicer in spring they go out naked but when the flies arrive I pop a thin fly sheet on him
Oh, the flies. I remember them. You need some muscovies to chomp those flies! The chickens were always out scratching in the horse droppings. I think it cut down on the flies some, specially the bot flies. They were terrible sometimes. Do you have bot flies there?In winter yes. Harry is such a whimp when it comes to cold. Yep we have bot flies over here 
I’m always careful to check for eggs. Touch a big piece of wood Harry hasn’t suffered with them. Then again I’m quite liberal with the fly repellent during the warmer months

I love the smell of it! That plus mane and tail conditioner oh and Effol hoof ointment! In fact I just love the whole smell of horses

Still plodding on over here and touching a very large piece of wood we have had no set backs with Keeper
Back at the orthopaedic vets a week on Friday for a check where I’m hoping he says everything is ok.
Been freezing again over here...brrr.... was a bit hairy this morning getting Harry & Branon down to their field! Back to wind and rain though this evening

Gosh if I could, I really would! This seems to have been such a wet winter. I’m ready for a bit of spring
We've been having spring for a few weeks now. Highs in the 70s (22-25) and now were in 60s. Wild plums are in full bloom.
