I have 4 Embden geese that are going to be processed for Christmas Goose.
I want to save their down for a pillow or something.
I send my meat animals to a processor. How does one harvest the down on a dead animal? I'm assuming you wouldn't scald it like normal for plucking?
Does the down need to be washed?
