My favorite Lavender Orpington, Rose, has decided that she loves our wheaten terrier mix. I'm not sure the feeling is entirely mutual because the dog just sorta ignores her but the chicken follows her everywhere. When our other dog tries to wrestle with the wheaten in the yard, Rose gets upset and flaps her wings and pecks at him in defense of her chosen dog. It's pretty hilarious.

Very nice
That's pretty cool. You keep your pigeons and chickens together? One of my hens was raised by a pigeon. A hen I just bought laid an egg in her box on the trip home. I had no broody hens, so I popped it under a pair of pigeons.
When the chick was first hatched the pigeon pair were very confused. The female ignored it once it jumped out of the nest box, but the male took great care of his baby.
He followed it everywhere around and would brood it on the coop floor at night (just like a mother hen). He would give any other chicken that go too close to his baby a big SLAP with his wing.
Now the chick is all grown up into a lovely buff Japanese Bantam. They always used to roost together on the same perch, but now she is mature and laying eggs, she roosts with the other chickens. However, in the daytime when they are all relaxing in the sun, she still likes to seek her pigeon father out and lay out next to him.
