Mine did quite the opposite... a thrasher nested in the apple tree several yards from the silkie pen this summer. One of the babies, not yet old enough to fledge, fell out of the nest, and managed to hop its way over into the silkie pen, which was a terrible move because it was full of extremely protective hens with chicks. They killed the unfortunate creature within seconds. By the time I realized what was going on, it was already dead. Silkies are adorable, but get in between them and their chicks, and they become scary!My silkie bantam became friends with a thrasher.
