Has anyone bred Pekin and welsh harlequin ducks together??

I'm a nervous wreck 24/7. I have her in a "donut " but the second I take my hand out or walk away, she pushes herself up and out. Either lands on her back, or face down, I'm nervous shell somehow suffocate.(?) If I put her in my hand or up against my chest, shes content & goes right to sleep. But, obviously, I cant wall around holding her 24/7. I saw a "duckling walker" online that I'd like to try and make. I'm hoping & praying this is just an issue of leg strength or needing of niacin?? Hoping & praying. She also is a little smaller than the others, you can tell a difference by their beak size.

Make the walker it will be a good way for her to exercise her legs. Did you try warm water bath?

The walker needs to be low enough she can touch the floor so she uses her legs to move around.but not to were she can launch herself out of it and injure herself. Put her next to your bed so you can keep an eye on her. If you have a heating pad that doesn’t turn off on its own you can wrap a towel around it and use it for heat.

Yes maam, sure did. Just a quick one tho. I have to hold her the whole time & she pushes herself up so hard that she almost hops out of my hand. I had a good firm hold on her but I'm going to try again tomorrow morning. I only put a little water in there. She sure loved it tho. This is the picture of the Walker I'm thinking of. Really wanted to order this one but it's in Austraila, so instead of the $10 shipping, they posted it will be $46 to US. That's on top of the $40 purchase price!!!. So...... 1st, I'm going to try to make it.

I'm just hoping I can find PVC pipe & wheels small enough. I've never seen it!! But my husband swears they do. So fingers crossed!! I cant wait to see her scooting around. I'll have to adjust her living courters tho so she can wheel around.

Well, not sure. Only as a give up point, I think. She rolls straight onto her back once she starts kicking. Usually I readjust her 8-15 times before she finally just stays put and rests. Just takes awhile.

What is she in? Is she under a heat lamp?
