I have no idea
I wonder if you could somehow make her soft braces out of foam insulation sleeve to help keep that from happening ? @casportpony

good question! How much further back can they go until they can't go anymore? @casportpony, @CatWhisperer what disease in humans is like what's happening to Joy? Could this be something like muscular dystrophy?Ok, so I have a question... If Joy's legs keep bending back like this....does anyone know what happens? Does a bone break? Joint pop? Etc....?
I tried to come up with something. The only thing strong enough would be like a finger splint. I have 1 with thick foam on one side, but.....has metal on the other. I would have to cut half of the metal off, then it will be sharp, so worried about the edge. Hmmmmm??I have no ideaI wonder if you could somehow make her soft braces out of foam insulation sleeve to help keep that from happening ? @casportpony
Yes, for sure, I agree 100%. I'm very sorry Im so back and forth, cant make a decision for the life of me. I dont want her in pain, so everytime I think about just needing to let her go, she sits up and talks with us, looks around and eats well, and vise versa where she struggles to do anything. I am just torn, all day, all night.... I keep thinking I'm an awful person if I let her go if she was happy. Everytime I start to get close to accepting the way it is... I see a story or post of someone that raised their duck anyway and is happy & healthy.....despite the problems. Difference is..... she could be in pain. That's my major factor here!!!Probably a birth defect. Since she can’t walk it doesn’t matter how far back they go. If you are going to keep her alive you need to plan a way for her to live without injuring herself.
Even maybe from a pool noodle. If I slice a tiny bit off, it will have the natural curve already. But...I still have to make something that she can lay on, like the walker, so she doesnt put any weight on her legsI have no ideaI wonder if you could somehow make her soft braces out of foam insulation sleeve to help keep that from happening ? @casportpony
Can you lay it down or is it stiff? Maybe angel wing you can take some vet wrap and wrap so the little wing lays flat to her side. Just don't wrap too tight. Usually only take
Let me check it out
Crazy to think that's possible with all the extra vitamins shes been getting.
On another note, our lil Joy bug ate an Awesome breakfast this morning!
Do you think it's too soon to cut up some greens really small for her? I have a garden that I grew just for Emmie & Max & thought it might be good for her.
