Has anyone bred Pekin and welsh harlequin ducks together??

Pics
:lol:Nope you didn’t much! Okay so maybe they are a little cramped and since they are wearing a down jacket they are getting too warm. I have read often of Pekin duckling panting and needing their heat lamp removed at around 3 weeks old. They sure looked healthy the pics of the ones you posted. Hopefully the move will help. I don’t know what else other than space and not using the heat you can do for them unless it’s warm enough outside to move them out.
It's been really warm down where she lives too so I agree, they probably don't need any heat lamps and that might be why they are panting. They are all inside too if I'm understanding right which is all the more reason not to worry about them getting cold. They've got the down coats on plus if they do get a chill they can huddle together for warmth. I'd be surprised if that happens though.

Ok good....just wanted to make sure I wasnt cooling it down for them too prematurely. This morning tho, not sure I like what I hear. I remember with Max, it sounded like he was sick thru his quacking. Kind of a hoarse quack. 1 time we did find the respiratory issue, the other time vet said that's just his voice changing thru him maturing. I really hope I didnt let these babies get sick. I've been on top of them like white on rice...... only issue has been the panting last few days but I've got the roomed cooled down, clean, cool fresh water.... they seem better now. But... 1 or 2 of them have a little bit of hoarse in their quack. Whatcha think??

Any way you can get a video of them making noises?its probably just voice changes though.
It's so funny you ask that, because I went in to take a video right after I posted that, and I guess they're tired of chatting at the moment. So as soon as they start back up, I definately will record it.i lowered the temp a few more degrees earlier and......no more panting either. They're happy, MESSY!!!! ducks.:thumbsup

Also, as I was holding Joy for her lunch...it seems by her reaction (coincidences??) that the wing that I sent a pic of (skinnier, straight one) might be hurting her. Each times I might of touched it, she sort of squealed. Whether it is angel wing, or somehow a broken or hurt, would wrapping it be the same fix for either? If so, I think I will go ahead and lightly fold the wings in and wrap her.
