has anyone else lost their appetite for eggs?

hate to say it but with all the creepy crawly things my chickens love to eat, I can't help think about what they eat when I am eating their eggs!

I know - get over it.

Regardless if my taste for eggs has diminished...I love having chickens! And maybe I'll just switch to egg in recipes rather than eat so many of them scrabbled for breakfast!

The creepy crawly things they get from free ranging are what I love. I love the eggs from my free range girls. I have some that are in the love shack that don't get to free range and we will eat those eggs for the first 3 weeks to clear out the other roosters (sperm), by the 3rd week the eggs yolks start looking pale and flat like store bought eggs. They don't taste any where as good as the other girls.

Of topic, last time we only waited 2 week to clear them out and I ended up with 2 odd ball chicks, one is 1/2 bantam and the other is a BO (roo) and BR (hen) mix.
