Has anyone ever had this happen??

I got an egg out of the nest, It was so big there was blood on it and it was broke, contents spilled out and inside it was another normal egg? The outer shell was as big as a goose egg.? Not sure how the poor chicken passed it. I have 20 so not sure which one it was.

Poor Girl! I have had eggs with blood on the shells before, but never with another egg inside. There have been other threads about them though. Keep a check on their bottoms to make sure that she doesn't have any other problems from it, like a prolapse. It sounds like her "egg assembly line" had a little glitch in it.

Yes, I have seen about 5 or six other threads about this problem. Don't worry about it- it just means your girl is a great layer!
