I live very near Mt. Healthy Hatchery, but they don't have all the breeds I am looking for. Nature's Hatchery, in Illinois does... but I've never heard of them. I got them through their ad here on BYC. http://www.natureshatchery.com/

Do any of you have experience with them? Were you pleased? Outraged? Delighted? Shocked? Happy? Horriified?

Havent ordered from them. I saw the banner and they seem pretty new. What are you looking for? Meyers hatchery is in Ohio also. In Polk. right down the road from me. I've nothing but goodness from them.

I ordered Speckled Sussex, Light Brahma, Easter Eggers and Cochin. Mt Healthy didn't have Cochin. The ony one I am flexible on is the Sussex -- I would have traded that for a Delaware or a Buff Brahma...

I thought Nature's hatchery seemed pretty new too, which is not necessarily a bad thing... we'll see.

My class just ordered 12 white silkie hatching eggs and 12 barred plymoth rock hatching eggs from them. They are being shipped out tuesday! hopefully, I will be able to tell you what i think...hopefully it will be positive!!

I thought someone had said that they "Drop ship" but im not 100% sure on that.

Would my chicks all come in the same box? Would some chicks come all by themselves? Nobody would ship just one chick... would they?

I wouldn't think so. My Pet Chicken will allow orders as few as three, but I haven't tried it, so I don't know about pricing or how successful those low number shipments are (survivability, I mean).

I just ordered 2 chicks from them, and I will give feedback when they ship. They called to confirm my order, and were very courteous and accommodating to my preferred ship dates.
