Has anyone ever tried growing Rhubarb in the south?

I have a bunch of it. It does great at 5000 ft above sea level. Doesn't seem to mind spring frosts much either.
 
We tried to grow some last year and it just failed miserably!! Maybe keeping in potted in the house (with AC?) then a while in the freezer for the dormant stage down here? (We are in Keystone a bit north from you) Actually, I saw it at lowes and had flashbacks of New England lol!!
 
my nan has had rubarb in her garden for over 25 years it comes back every year trust me if it can survive english weather it can survive anything we still having snow and frost but hers is slowly coming back its very hardy shame the stock we where growing wasnt rabbit hardy smudge decided to sneak in for a midnight snack

Has anyone ever tryed dragon fruit i tryed it for the first time today i loved it to look at it, it doesnt look too good but its like a cross between a melon and a kiwi

Not sure how I'd be able to ship rhubarb and have it arrive in good condition.

Here is a pic of a ruhbarb leaf and the flower stalk I break off every year so it gives me more leaves:
