Has anyone ever....?

Hi. I always give treats on white paper plates. So when ever I need my 14 chickens to come from where ever they are ranging I hold up a paper plate in each hand and call "here chuk chuk chuk! or "chickie chickie!" You should see them run! Even the 7weekers that just started going outside ranging around the yard come running. I make a point not to tease either. The plate always has something even if it's their own feed on it. Usually they go out in the morning and go into the coop in the evenings on their own but a few times I've had to round them up and this has always worked. Plus with them free ranging I like to do a head count a few times a day to make sure everyone is ok. So when someone is missing from the group I get out the white paper plates. Only took two days of doing before even the youngest responded.
