Has anyone gone on a ghost tour?

We did one last Summer in York, England. York has been continuously inhabited since around 80 AD when the Romans built a legionary fortress there. It was then controlled later by the Anglo Saxons, Vikings, northern Barons and even the Scots. It is one of the most amazing cities anywhere on earth.

The ghost walk was very fun. The only issue is that we were there on the solstice so it was light until like 10:30 pm.

It lost some of the ambience.

We did a tour in Seattle area; visting various murder locations, cemetaries, etc. One spot in particular did have an affect on me. The site of the Wah Mee Massacre ( http://www.historylink.org/essays/output.cfm?file_id=382 ). I actually felt sick to my stomach at that site. As soon as we got back in the van and left, I felt fine. None of the other sites bothered me at all.

I love ghost stuff.. Ghost Hunters is probably my favorite show on TV right now. It's cool to see them go places I've been (Queen Mary, Winchester House, etc)

I have been to Charleston several times for business and years ago I did do a ghost tour. I guess it was more of a ghost walk. I was late in the evening and we went on a walking tour all over the old historic areas downtown. I think that the different tours depend a lot on your tour guide as they can make or break the tour. We had a great time, learned a lot of history and of course heard a lot of ghost stories. I'd highly recommend going on one, Charleston is a fun place to visit.

shhh....(I'm whispering) I went to a haunted house, (a church group had fixed it up) I squealed, jiggled, jumped, and twitched my way thru...it was a 2 story house....
And I missed last years, but they tell me a local museum here puts on a "Ghost Tour" in October, beginning at dark and they walk you through their outdoor trails, with the locals dressed up as in days of old, working on things like they would have been a hundred years ago. You sit around the campfire and listen to their stories...They have several stops...heard it was fun.

This is a 1895 Victorian farmhouse that was sited for demo, so we moved it. Since then every person who has lived in it since the 30's has called to tell me it's haunted. I dont know if I belive it or not, it is odd that they all tell the same stories, yet had never meet. We dont live in the house, its vacant, till we figure out what to do with it.

It did'nt look this good when we moved it, we own a remodeling company, so we fixed her up a bit.

Would any of you ever stay at a bed and breakfast if it was haunted, by let's say a 4 year old boy who is very sweet but likes to get into stuff?

LOL - I love ghost hunters! I am such a science geek too and you'd think my daughter would relate after all her ghost hunting escapades but they all think I'm a loon and completely ignore my pleas to come see the show! (But seriously - those Ghost Hunters have stuff on tape - how can you argue with that??

)

We have been planning on going up to the Stanley Hotel here in Colorado for like 2 years but it seems something always comes up. After seeing that episode on ghost Hunters on Halloween there is no way I'm staying in the haunted room, even if it was available.

I'd be way too scared to actually go on a ghost tour. But my bff and I LOVE watching ghost hunters and all the other ghost shows we can find, although ghost hunters is def my favorite (they have the most equipment and thus get the most results). We watch it at night and always freak ourselves out and eat chocolate. Good fun!

I have never been on one of the "tours" but I am part of a paranormal investigation group. We have been to many places, and experienced many unusual things. we go out in the middle of the night to abandoned houses, etc. I am the only female in the group, I am in charge of research and photography. I will have to share some of my findings!!!!
