Has anyone had chicken guard issues?

Our chicken guard worked on the first night. The second night it kept opening 4-6 min after I closed it. It was in manual close mode . I finally got it to stay closed by setting it to sensor closing, this morning I had it on sensor opening and it didn’t open. I had to manually go out and open it. Has anyone had these issues? I tried contacting chicken guard to no avail. Thank you!

They usually have pretty good customer service so I'd try contacting them again. I only have a timer on mine so not familiar with what happens if you toggle modes.

It’s the timer mode that doesn’t really work right. The sensor mode seems fine now.

Is the timer on the 2400 or regular time? I found that was my problem.

I’m not sure. Which did you have an issue with? I’m going to check and see and maybe try the option I don’t have it on.

I had the wrong time entered because I was having trouble with understanding the 2400.So my open time worked, but my close time did,t. Once I knew how to convert evening hours I programmed it correctly.

Not sure if you have a timer mode. I found the sensor mode wasn't as effective. I would call the company. They walked me through it.
