Has anyone ordered/raised Cackle's Red Broilers??

I am going tuesday to pick up 25 of Cackle Hatchery's Red Broilers. (also get 25 cornish crosses, 5 austra white pullets, and 5 barred rock pullets)

I am planning on doing a comparison of the cornish crosses and the red broilers. I know the red broilers take a couple extra weeks, but am curious if they are worth it. I haven't seen much said about them though. Just curious.

Hmm. Im Curious as well. I wonder what their red broiler is? Maybe like a freedom ranger?

I ordered 25 of them just about 4 weeks ago. They look like 'Freedom Rangers', I guessing CH is using their own name for them. They are growing great also!

My Red Broilers are growing great as well as the cornish. They are all 10 days old today. a few pics. (the black ones are the barred rocks - same age)

How are your Red Broilers doing? How big have they gotten? What was their growth rate compared to the Barred Rocks? Thanks!

Im looking to get red broilers again. Last year I did a fall batch and none of them made it to butcher because I had to leave town suddenly and took them to the neighbor who some how killed them all. What a waste.
