I read a great book about back yard chickens, it was written by an english prof.

Maybe it was: Still Life with Chickens (starting over in a House by the Sea) by C. Goldhammer ??

Havent's read it yet, but want to.

I just finished that book---it was a joy to read.

We have alot of parallels in our lives and we also both live in the same area so that made reading the book alot of fun too.

She does mention a few people from BYC in her book.

i don't think those are the book. i know the authers first name is barbra and her last name starts witha k. i think the book is called keeping chickens in your backyard.

A friend gave me 'Keeping Chickens' by Hobson & Lewis - gorgeous photos and solid basic info. A perfect first book for would-be or new chicken farmers.
