Has anyone received chicks from Meyer in this heat?

The afternoon of the 14th. Yesterday.

Usps tracking says they will arrive tomorrow. Usps only has one delivery early in the morning to our town.
Hoping they are on it and i get that phone call to pick them up otherwise it will be the next day. Ugh... their coming from Oregon to South Carolina.
Good luck!! I hope they get there tomorrow

Did you specify that or did they do that? I may have to see if I can get that done if it’s not to late.
It was weird, actually. I emailed not long after I ordered to ask if they could ship Express, and I was told they were only doing Priority. But then they shipped Express! If I were you, I'd give them a call and request it.

How are they doing? I have chicks coming next week and I am worried about what kind of condition they will arrive in.
They not only do fine, but they love it! I've got 8 one-week old chicks OUTSIDE in a brooder coop with NO HEAT and they are thriving. Daytime temps are 89 on average, 70s at night.

One note: I live in Ohio, so I receive my orders from Meyer on the same day that they ship. They are only in their shipping box for a few hours. I prefer to get my chicks in July when it's HOT and humid here. I rarely have to use a heat source, and if I do it's only for the first few nights.

YMMV :)

No!
And usps has not updated tracking since they left the oregon postal facility tuesday.

Tracking online still says they will arrive today by 3 pm. Ha. Its now 9 pm.
The breeder noticed this and emailed me worried.

Hoping they arrive tomorrow morning at my post office....alive.

Thanks for asking.

So sorry they haven’t arrived yet. Maybe they will be ok.
