I keep duxicide next to the hatcher just in case they try to escape ( if they are dux)

I promise they are usually non violent when first hatching. Plus if you raid them then you can’t get you 8 bucks a duck.

Not necessarily. It'll be a truly 'rare' chicken that hatches out of those eggs.
